Be Seen In Green for RSG – Refugee Week

Refugee Week is the world’s largest arts & culture festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

This year Refugee Week will be held on 17th to 23rd June.

We challenge schools, organisations and members of the public to Be Seen In Green on Thursday 20th June, which marks the date that World Refugee Day is celebrated globally.

Schools:

Get onboard and use this week to acknowledge and celebrate the people from all over the world who contribute to our society.

  • Spend the week talking about the magical diversity in your school.
  • Celebrate cultures from around the world.
  • Explain the importance of the Refugee Convention set up in 1951.

On Thursday 20th June ask your students to BE SEEN IN GREEN! All students and teachers to dress or accessorise in green, the logo colour of RSG and bring in a contribution to help us continue our vital work.

Business:

Use this week to celebrate the diversity in your work-place.

  • Encourage staff to creatively contribute to this week with their art.
  • Everyone wears or accessorises in green on Thursday 20th June.
  • Turn your workplace into an explosion of green!

Community Groups:

Football tournaments, dances, coffee mornings, bake sales and anything green for RSG!

We would love any photos of your efforts to showcase on our social media.
