Volunteer With Us

Reading Refugee Support Group was started by group of volunteers in 1994, and volunteers have been an integral part of everything we do since then.

In 2019, we were incredibly proud to receive The Queen’s Award For Voluntary Services, the MBE for Voluntary Organisations, as an acknowledgement of the tireless work of our brilliant volunteers.

Position Title Events Team Coordinator (Volunteer)
Program Fundraising
Location RSG offices
Reports to Fundraising Manager
Date Revised Oct 2022

We are looking for an Events Team Coordinator to work with our fundraising and events team.  A full Role Description will be available shortly, but essentially we are looking for someone to coordinate a small volunteer events team to help us set up and attend our RSG stand at community events, act as ambassadors for RSG, help set up displays and IT systems at internal events such as our AGM and annual films shows and other fundraising events, act as safety marshalls at our sponsored walks and Santa Runs and other fun stuff!

This will be a much-needed support role for us. Access and use of a car is essential (all expenses will be covered).

This is quite a unique role that will put you at the centre of RSG and how we interact with supporters, the public and our service users.  It will be fun and rewarding.

For an informal chat about the role, please contact jonjo@rrsg.org.uk
