OISC Level 1 Caseworker Job Description

OISC Caseworker Advert.

Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form.

To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter (2 pages max) and a completed Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form by midnight on the closing date.  Please note the interview dates.  Interviews will be in person at our office in Reading.  Remote interviews on request.

Finance Manager

We are seeking an experienced, qualified accountant to take over and lead our financial management functions at Refugee Support Group.

The usual stuff: bookkeeping, payroll, management accounts, cashflows, VAT, gift aid, budgeting, grant reporting, end-of-year accounts, annual reporting to CC and CH, and more. We use Xero.

We are dealing with a deficit, but we need your expertise to resolve it. We also have big but very exciting plans for the future, which will require significant input from you.

Occasional volunteering at our events and activities is welcomed and is always involving and rewarding.

It is an exciting, challenging post working with a fantastic and diverse staff team who are the best.  Hybrid working is possible, but the SMT needs your regular office presence to consolidate our team. We have an increasing range of income streams, which all need clear monitoring and reporting processes.

Qualifications (CIMA, AAT, ACCA) and several years knowledge and experience of the charity sector are essential. Compassion for refugees and asylum seekers is non-negotiable.

Your salary won’t equate to the experience and qualifications we are asking for and what you would expect to receive in the corporate sector, but we will do our best to get as close as possible.

If this is you and you have a lot to give, RSG would love to have an informal conversation with you or send us your CV and cover letter.
