Why We Need Your Help
Afghanistan Appeal 2021
We’re currently supporting more than five hundred men, women and children that have escaped the recent violence in Afghanistan.
We’re also supporting 25 Afghan families that are permanently settling here in Berkshire, providing them with advice, support and social activities to help them adjust to their new home.
We’re supporting around 500 Afghan men, women and children being housed in hotels locally with no support. We’re providing them with mental health support, creative writing workshops, social activities, one-to-one Befriending and welcome packs to help as much as we’re able.
Your donations will help us to continue delivering this support that is desperately needed this Christmas.
We are raising money to fund two vital services:
Our Advice Service
We are raising money to fund our Advice Service that provides free, confidential legal advice and practical support for refugees and asylum seekers in Berkshire. Demand for Advice and mental health support has increased dramatically as we are now supporting hundreds of families from Afghanistan.
We are aiming to raise £8,000 to fund this service for at least four months.
Our Drop In Service
We are raising money to fund our Drop In Service that provides a safe space, social interaction, English lessons, access to a Caseworker and much more for refugees and asylum seekers in Berkshire. Demand for our Drop Ins has rocketed as we are now supporting hundreds of families from Afghanistan.
We are aiming to raise £4,500 to fund this service for at least three months.
