RSG Welcomes New CEO

CEO Announcement from Our Chair, Sarah Vawda

I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Najwa Abdallah as our new Chief Executive Officer. Najwa brings over 26 years of leadership experience in the humanitarian and social impact sectors, informed by her personal journey of displacement and poverty in Lebanon during the war. Her impressive background includes executive roles in various organisations and in governance, including her current positions as Trustee for the International Rescue Committee UK and Migrant Help, as well as the Founder of the Yusr Foundation.

We are confident that Najwa’s strategic vision and governance expertise will enhance our mission and expand our services. Please join us in welcoming Najwa to the Refugee Support Group.

 A Word from Najwa

“I am honoured to join RSG at such a critical moment for our sector, following in the big footsteps of Nick Harborne. I am dedicated to RSG’s vision of an inclusive Berkshire that embraces refugees and asylum seekers with humanity and respect, supported by you—our Board of Trustees, donors, supporters, partners, volunteers, and a great team.”
