Refugee Week: Emerging Voices

A Refugee Week 2021 Event

Tue 15th June – Emerging Voices

Join artist Hadil Tamim and curator Khadija Niang online for the unveiling of Hadil’s final piece for the Emerging Voices project.

Emerging Voices

Hadil Tamim creates incredible artwork which brings together Islamic patterns and British flower designs. This webinar sees the unveiling of her latest artwork, as part of the Emerging Voices project. The webinar will be a chance to hear Hadil speak about her work and hear more about her collaboration with Reading Refugee Support Group.

The Rising Sun’s Emerging Voices project seeks to offer support to young curators at the beginning of their careers. In the first Emerging Voices Project, The Rising Sun worked with emerging Curator Khadija Niang who chose to commission Artist Hadil Tamim and brokered a project between Hadil and Reading Refugee Support Group.
