Be Seen in Green – Show Your Support for Refugees during Refugee Week 2025!
Be Seen in Green is your school’s chance to stand in solidarity with refugees and people seeking asylum. Taking place on Friday 20th June—International Refugee Day—this special event falls within Refugee Week (16th–22nd June). This year’s theme is “Community as a Superpower!”, celebrating the strength, kindness and resilience found in coming together.
To help your school take part, we’ve created a free activity pack tailored for Years 4–6, though the materials can be easily adapted for younger or older pupils. The pack includes daily classroom activities exploring:
- What it means to be displaced
- The power of community, empathy and shared responsibility
- Discussion and creative approaches to learning about seeking asylum
On Friday 20th June, join the movement:
🟢 Wear green – the colour of our charity and a symbol of hope
🟢 Decorate your classroom
🟢 Fundraise to support local refugees through Refugee Support Group (RSG)
To register your school and receive the free pack, email:

We’d also be happy to visit your school before Refugee Week to deliver a short assembly or classroom session—just let us know!
Where Does the Money Go?
Every pound raised helps us provide vital support to refugees across Berkshire, including:
- ✅ Free legal advice
- ✅ Casework and advocacy
- ✅ Four weekly drop-in centres
- ✅ Resettlement and integration services
- ✅ Youth support like our homework club
- ✅ And even our refugee football team!
Together, let’s help children understand the power of welcome—and show that your school community cares. 💚
FAO:
- You can receive the free activity pack without fundraising
- You don’t have to be a school to Be Seen in Green – anyone can join in!
- We’ll come and give a talk at your school or organisation, just ask.
