Can You Help Refugees In Berkshire This Christmas?
Refugee Support Group has been providing advice, support, social activities and practical help for refugees in Berkshire since 1994, but the current situation is tougher than we’ve ever known.
The government’s policies on refugees and asylum seekers are not designed to elicit public sympathy: refugees are being kept in inhumane and unhealthy conditions such as Manston detention centre, and the spiralling cost of living crisis is hitting already destitute refugees who now have to struggle to afford food and clothing.
Last year, the Afghanistan and Ukraine conflicts saw demand for our services increase almost fivefold. That growth continues and funds are urgently needed to allow us to work for those whose futures are dependent on us and on your generosity.
That’s why we need your help.
Can you give £5 a month – less than the cost of 2 coffees – to help fund our advice and support service for refugees this Christmas?
