Our One-to-One English Classes pair up volunteer tutors and refugees for informal, weekly English language sessions. The classes are currently being held online using Zoom and Skype due to COVID-19.
The English classes help Refugees to improve their language skills, building their confidence, employability, and encouraging integration, as well as reducing loneliness and improving mental health.
Volunteer tutors and refugees are matched based on their availability and interests. We introduce them to eachother, and then between them they decide when to hold the classes and what they want to cover in the ten week ‘term’.

Want to Volunteer?
We have temporarily paused volunteer recruitment for our One-to-one English Classes, as we train up our current team and get them ready to go.
If you would like to volunteer to help someone to practice and improve their English, you can join our waiting list though.
